Welcome to the Dead River Storage Basin Dead River Campers, Inc. was created in the mid-1990s to negotiate in the purchase of land around the Dead River Hoist Basin. The Dead River Basin is located in the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) of Michigan. It spans across Negaunee, Ishpeming, and Champion Townships of Marquette County. There are 397 shareholders that belong to Dead River Campers. The goal of our website is to provide our shareholders with a quick and convenient access to a variety of resources and information.

ATTENTION SHAREHOLDERS:

Shareholders be advised current weather conditions are causing rapid snowmelt and may raise basin water elevation to near or above spillway elevation of 1344.5 feet in the near future .      

 

MISSING:

 

LARGE Yellow Raft.  Floated away from 112 Rudman Drive (Dave St.Onge's place).  

 

MISSING:  3 paddle boats, one orange and 2 blue (one with no rudder) and one wooden bock section about 4'x8' (with no legs or floats under it).  Items floated away from the beach on Bussone Drive. (fingers area)  If found please contact DRCI or Sandi & Pete Engstrom. 

 

Missing dock sections from the Little Dead at Scott Sundberg’s camp, black floats with white/silver surface.  If you happen to see them, please call Darryll Sundberg at the DRCI office.  (906) 485-1975.
